Christine Bourbeau Author Picture.jpg
Christine Bourbeau of "The Adventures of Aggie" series
Signing

Saturday October 19th from 11-2pm

Christine Bourbeau realized there were not many stories explaining the pagan faith to younger children. She was inspired to write books that stretched beyond the pagan community and focused on religious tolerance and inclusion.

In each story, 9-year-old Aggie explains pagan holidays and beliefs through her eyes. The first book, The Adventures of Aggie Pentacle Party, teaches the symbolism and importance of the pentacle. The second book, The Adventures of Aggie Cauldron Bubbles, focuses on the basics of making a potion and using your imagination.

Wingmasters: Birds of Prey
LIVE Animal Experience!

Saturday October 19th from 1-2pm

Birds of prey, also known as raptors, are hunting birds with hooked beaks and powerful grabbing feet armed with sharp talons.  Raptors can also boast the best eyesight and the sharpest hearing in the animal kingdom.  They include hawks, falcons, and owls, and this presentation - which incorporates 5 LIVE birds of prey, all native to New England - gives an overview of these different categories.

This program explains predation, the birds' place at the top of the food web, their different hunting adaptations, and more.  It also features one or more of the endangered raptors that WINGMASTERS cares for and explains why these species face an uncertain future.
